Fantastic Beasts role offered to Ezra Miller - TBT: Virtuoso Award 2013

Ezra Miller, best known for co-starring in The Perks of Being a Wallflower with Emma Watson, might be eyeing a role in the franchise.
"Sources tell Variety that Miller is in early talks for the role of Kredan ... It is unknown how close talks are on closing a deal but sources add that for weeks Miller has always been the favorite and in the last week has emerged as the choice for the role.”
"In the story, Kredan is a person with magical powers who encounters magizoologist Newt Scamander (Redmayne) when he stops in New York City on his travels to find and document magical creatures.”
The story also reports that Josh Gad, who voiced Olaf in Frozen and will play Le Fou in Beauty and the Beast (so another Emma Watson co-star!), and Michael Cera are both vying for the role of Jacob, Newt’s rival, and that Alison Sudol, who is a musician and has appeared on the television show Dig, may be the front runner for the role of Queenie, Porpentina’s sister.
...WB has no comment about these rumors – meaning nothing is official yet...(x)
Ezra Miller is the relative unknown who is due to play DC speedster The Flash, in Warner Brothers' Justice League movies as well as his own solo movie in 2018. But Warner Brothers' isn't relying solely on the DC cache and is making sure the actor's profile is raised by then. It is now offering Miller a key role in something as equally high-profile as a DC movie: the Harry Potter spinoff, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. (x)

Q: You just got cast in ‘Fantastic Beasts’! It’s insane, how excited are you?
A:
I want to smile really big because it gets me so excited but it feels like I have lipstick all over my teeth. Yes, it’s amazing news, I’m thrilled.
Q: Eddie [Redmayne] just came off an Oscar, he’s going to get nominated again for ‘The Danish Girl’. Working with someone like that, and joining the J.K. Rowling universe, as an actress – does it get any cooler than that?
A: I don’t think so. I’m still definitely in a state of absolute shock about it, so it sounds strange even hearing you say those names in any way in the context that I’m involved. It’s really far out.”
